  • 2021
  • May: CBE+ shortlisted for manufacturer of the year by inside magazine (Made in Yorkshire).

  • March: CBE + launch executive alliance in partnership with Vulcan to the sky and Workwise.

  • February: CBE+ welcome ROXIVA customer to set up production facility on site.

  • 2020
  • Rolls Royce gives recognition to CBE+ for exceptional contribution to ventilator challenge UK.

  • October: Chesterfield manufacturer CBE+ has become a sponsor of New Tupton Ivanhoes Under 12’s team.

  • September: CBE+ is shortlisted for 4 business awards by Make UK.

  • June: CBE+ implement integrated ERP system across CBE+ and NiTEC (UK).

  • April: CBE+ is asked to contribute to ventilator challenge UK, within weeks they produce tens of thousands of parts to support UK government in Covid 19.

  • March: CBE+ gain sponsorship from Leonardo to obtain SC21 certification.

  • February: NiTEC (UK) in partnership with CBE+ obtains AS9100 accreditation.

  • January: CBE+ become a cornerstone business in partnership with north east Derbyshire council.

  • 2019
  • CBE+ Helps SHU Race Team build their race car.

  • CBE+ raises over £1000 for Master Cutlers Challenge taking part in tough mudder run!

  • BG Engineering and Pentag Gears & Oilfield Equipment Ltd rebrand to CBE+.

  • Spire Laboratories moved site to Enterprise Drive.

  • 2018
  • BG Engineering win the Excellence in Manufacturing Award at the 2018 Derbyshire Times Business Awards.

  • BG Engineering in partnership with CBE secures AS9100 accreditation for approval to supply the aerospace sector.

  • BG Engineering in partnership with CBE triples size of its manufacturing facility in 30th anniversary to 100,000 sqft.

  • BG Engineering in partnership with CBE invest in on site pressure testing facility.

  • Pentag Gears & Oilfield Equipment Ltd bought by Cooper Brown Enterprises and BG Engineering relocated to Enterprise Drive, Chesterfield.

  • 2017
  • BG Engineering in partnership with CBE invest in apprentice cell on shop floor.

  • BG Engineering in partnership with CBE are shortlisted for manufacturer of the year award.

  • Cooper Brown Enterprises Ltd become partners with BG Engineering.

  • NiTEC (UK) and Spire Laboratories are part bought by Cooper Brown Enterprises.

  • Spire Laboratories is established as complimentary business to NiTEC (UK).

  • 2007
  • BG Engineering moved facility to Enterprise Drive into a 20,000 sqft facility, within a 100,000 sqft building.

  • Pentag Gears & Oilfield Equipment Ltd came under new ownership and moved premises to John Street, Sheffield.

     

  • NiTEC (UK) moved to Holmewood Industrial Estate, Chesterfield.

  • BG Engineering facility moved to Stavely into an 8,000 sqft facility.

  • 2001
  • NiTEC (Derbyshire) changed name to Nitec (UK).

  • BG Engineering became a private limited company.

  • NiTEC (Derbyshire) Ltd moved to Sheepbridge, Chesterfield.

  • Tim Berners-Lee, a British scientist, invented the World Wide Web (WWW) in 1989.

  • BG Engineering is commissioned in 3000 sq ft facility on Carr Vale in Chesterfield.

  • Boeing 747, The Jumbo Jet, makes its first flight.

  • 1978
  • NiTEC (Derbyshire) Ltd in Clay Cross was established.

  • 5 managers from Aurora Holdings bought gear division from the group and set up Pentag Gears & Oilfield Equipment Ltd, Edmond Road, Sheffield.

  • Aurora Gearing Co (Wilmot North) of Sheffield became Aurora Holdings (Pentag).

  • Aurora Gearing Co (Wilmot North) of Sheffield acquired Anderton-Forco Industries.

  • Aurora Gearing Co (Wilmot North) of Sheffield sold Watling Street group of companies at Markyate.

  • Aurora Gearing Co (Wilmot North) of Sheffield disposed of the Tyre Machinery business of Hill Bentham and Hill Mould Equipment Ltd; Marygate Group (Pentag).

  • Aurora Gearing Co (Wilmot North) of Sheffield acquired Webster Equipment and Webster Machine Development (Pentag).

  • Aurora Gearing Co (Wilmot North) of Sheffield acquired F. Turnbull and Co (Engineers), a publicly quoted company (Pentag).

  • Aurora Gearing Co (Wilmot North) of Sheffield acquired Darlington Wire Mills Ltd[4] and Pashley and Trickett (Pentag).

  • Aurora Gearing Co (Wilmot North) of Sheffield acquired William Watts (Holdings) Ltd of Nottingham (Pentag).
