CBE+ Expands Electroless Nickel Plating Workshops Following Three Successful Sessions

Capabilities Beyond Engineering (CBE+) has successfully delivered three Electroless Nickel Plating (ENP) Educational Workshops, helping professionals across the manufacturing industry gain a greater understanding of the process, its applications and its benefits.

Designed to provide a practical introduction to Electroless Nickel Plating, the workshops have brought together engineers, buyers, project managers and other manufacturing professionals looking to develop their knowledge of ENP and make more informed decisions when selecting a coating.  

Delivered by our Technical Manager, Steve Whitehead, the sessions combine classroom-based learning with practical activities and real-world examples. Attendees have been able to explore not only how Electroless Nickel Plating works, but also where it can be used and the benefits it can provide.

From theory to hands-on experience

Each workshop has been designed to provide a balance of theoretical knowledge and practical experience.

The sessions include:

• Classroom learning covering the fundamentals of Electroless Nickel Plating
• “Plate Your Own Part” hands-on activities, giving attendees the opportunity to experience the process for themselves
• A guided facility tour, providing an insight into CBE+’s plating capabilities
• Real-world case studies, using actual components to demonstrate ENP applications
• Discussion around the benefits, applications and considerations when selecting Electroless Nickel Plating

The interactive format has encouraged strong engagement throughout the workshops, with attendees able to ask questions, discuss their own applications and relate the learning to real manufacturing challenges.

Bringing ENP knowledge to industry

Following the success of the three on-site workshops, we are now expanding the programme to make the training more flexible for the industry.

Recognising that travelling to Chesterfield or taking time out of the working day is not always practical for businesses, the company is taking its Workshops on the road as well as creating a shorter with sessions already planned alongside the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and Make UK.

Organisations can also arrange for their teams to attend a dedicated workshop at our facility.
