CBE+ Showcases STEM Careers as Gold Sponsor at Get up to Speed 2025

CBE+ recently demonstrated its commitment to inspiring the next generation of engineers by supporting Get up to Speed with STEM 2025 as a Gold Sponsor. The event, held last week at Magna Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham, is the UK’s leading annual STEM careers showcase, attracting thousands of students, parents, and educators from across the region. Get up to Speed is organised by The Work-wise Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to bridging the gap between education and industry.

This year, CBE+ engaged with over 7,000 students across two action-packed days. Day one welcomed secondary school students, while day two focused on primary school pupils and SEND learners, ensuring that young people of all ages and abilities had the opportunity to explore STEM careers.

CBE+ provided an exciting hands-on experience through its Crazy Cranes activity, designed to introduce young people to the world of engineering in a fun and interactive way. In addition, the company took to the main stage, delivering live demonstrations that highlighted real-world STEM applications and career opportunities within manufacturing.

The event began with a business breakfast, where CBE+ CEO, Marie Cooper, joined over 150 industry leaders to discuss the importance of STEM education and workforce development. The networking session provided a platform for businesses to connect and explore collaborative efforts in nurturing future talent.

Marking its 15th anniversary, Get up to Speed with STEM concluded with a special celebration dinner and party on the second evening. The event was filled with fun, appreciation, and reflections on the incredible achievements of the past 15 years, celebrating the impact it has had on young people and the STEM community.

CBE+ has been a dedicated supporter of Get up to Speed for nine consecutive years, reinforcing its passion for developing skills and opportunities within the engineering and manufacturing sectors.
