CBE+ SPONSORS OF WINNING TEAM TUPTON RUGBY CLUB

We are delighted that our sponsored Rugby Team – Tupton Rugby Club were recently the winning Team within their league.

CBE+ have sponsored the Tupton Rugby Club for the last two Seasons.

The sponsorship is one of the ways CBE+ supports the local community and brings business and community closer together in Chesterfield.

The club was formed in 1969 by teachers at Tupton Hall School and was known as the ‘Old Tuptonians’. The Club became a Limited business in 2015 and built its own Club house.

Since then, the Club has thrived, running training sessions, and competing in different leagues.

The Club comprises of two senior sides and an occasional vets’ team (over 35’s), together with a very successful mini and junior section.

Members of the Club compete in the Midlands Four League and the Pennant Two League.

Lee Marriott CBE+’s Production Manager (Electroless Nickel Plating) outlines “We would like to say thank you to CBE+ and associated sponsors. Without this support, we wouldn’t be able to run at the capacity we do and therefore, not make the positive impact we have on the local community. Four CBE+ employees have a history playing for the Club and it means a lot that the Club has this support”.

Only last year CBE+ sponsored New Tupton Ivanhoe’s Under 12’s team kit.

Marie Cooper explains “Supporting communities, especially where young people are involved, is important to CBE+. Supporting our employees and their interests is something we love to do as a business. It’s all about working together.”
