Harnessing Synergy - CBE+ and PES Performance

CBE+ has recently welcomed Performance Engineered Solutions (PES) Ltd to its Chesterfield site, following discussions between Marie Cooper, CEO of CBE+, and Mike Maddock, Managing Director of PES, which highlighted the synergies between the two companies.

PES Performance and its sister company PES Scanning provide high-performance engineering design, consultancy and 3D data capture solutions. PES is known for supporting clients with innovations, including turning concepts into a reality or by optimising and further developing a client’s existing product across multiple industries

Their expertise in engineering design aligns perfectly with CBE+’s multiple capabilities, with both serving clients in key industries including aerospace, automotive, defence, and green technologies.

A key aspect of this partnership is the shared benefits from PES’s metrology, reverse engineering and optimisation services, which is crucial for detailed analysis and recreation of components.

This technique helps CBE+ refine manufacturing processes and improve the quality of their products. One example, in gear manufacture, legacy but high-value assets have long gone out of production over the years and drawings no longer exist. PES are able scan their legacy parts and produce an accurate drawing which CBE+ can use to manufacture as new worn part, optimised or engineered to design intent. From this data, CBE+ can reproduce a part to meet the needs of their clients.
